Intro to Crime Scene Analysis
Find the ground truth of a crime scene with this 4-day introductory course on crime scene investigative analysis. Crime scene reconstruction is essential to thorough investigation and reveals actions which are critical to determining the events which occurred during a crime. Through lecture and practical exercises, you will learn to objectively analyze evidence from any crime scene to determine the sequence of events and produce fact-based conclusions for legal proceedings.
This course is for detectives, crime scene investigators, and others involved in criminal investigations.

- Using actual casework, applying context analysis, logical reasoning, scientific method, and objectivity in investigation.
- Techniques for organizing and evaluating information to aid retrievability, maximize comprehension, and identify evidence relationships.
- Reconstruction through correlating relationships between forensic evidence, subject/witness statements and scene context.
- Introduction to bloodstain patterns and how they relate to other evidence.
- Sequence of event analysis.
- Instruction on preparing reconstruction reports.
- Managing expert courtroom testimony.
